If you follow me on social media or have ever visited my blog before then you know I'm not the kind of gal that dreams in bubble gum pink and rainbows. My wardrobe is made up of at least 80% black clothing so it's no surprise that I'm all for a more vampy approach to holiday party attire. Playing with texture is how I make my all black looks pop and a killer pair of shoes never hurt anybody...well, except maybe your feet. Luxe velvet is one of my ultimate winter must-haves because it instantly says warmth and comfort while maintaining an elegant, upscale vibe. Lace is another favorite fabric of mine year round because just the right amount of lace exudes a confident, sexy attitude without letting it all hang out. Nobody needs to see that.

My velvet duster is actually a hand me down from my mama. I remember making fun of her for being a goth because of all the black clothing and chunky silver jewelry she had in her closet growing up. Look at me now, mama! My chunky silver gems are a collection of pieces from The Great Frog, Pamela Love and various flea markets over the years. My dress is For Love and Lemons from a few years ago and I can't remember where my shoes are from (probably from a stripper clothing shop on Hollywood Blvd because they have the best affordable platforms) but I love 'em! Don't judge.

I'm sure your pockets are already screaming from gifts and travel plans for the holidays so I've rounded up my favorite pieces to recreate this look for under $200. Most pieces are under $100 so you really don't need to break the bank to look chic AF at your shindigs... just click through to shop!
