Da quilted bomb, that is!  This is not a post about your grandma's kinda quilting so don't start yawning just yet.  As I'm sure you already know, the popularity of bomber jackets was revived last fall season with oversized MA-1 Alpha Industries jackets seen on the likes of every stylish sister under the sun... literally, think Hadids, Kardashian/Jenners etc.

These chicks (along with the help of their communal stylist queen Monica Rose) and seemingly every supermodel under the sun make up the army of babes who, much like with every other trend these days, put this military bomber back on the map and the style has taken on a life of its own since.

Now every stylish sister out there is rocking it... figuratively, think women as a whole who know what's up in fashion.  While it is AWESOME that you can acquire a wide array of bomber jackets for as little as $40 and zip up with the best of 'em, it does make it harder to stand out in the crowd with this trend.  So how do we rock this rad, stylish, chic but street, super versatile piece and not blend in?

It's all in the details! And my preferred detailing to make the standard bomber a little more unique and chic than last year's oversized military vibe? A lil G-ma spin.  Quilting, whether on the sleeves, body or all over, is a standout detail that not only makes this style of jacket even more stylish but it also makes it look more high end.  Here's the best part...while it looks more expensive, it actually costs less than the traditional MA-1 flight jacket everyone was wearing last fall! My H&M jacket worn in these photos was a total steal!

Cheers to the ladies that made this trend so popular on the mainstream market that all of our favorite affordable clothing brands tapped in!  Now you can get any color and any quilted detailing you want for less than a hundred bucks.  Since bombers are warm enough when layered with cozy knits to wear well into winter and are perfect on their own for both fall and spring, it may even be fair to say you can invest in a few different quilted bombers this season!  #justsaying If you really want to stand out, there are a handful of metallic quilted bombers out there that look incredible and can be worn with ripped jeans during the days but also with an all black outfit and heeled booties for a night out.  Scroll through my Bomber Must-Haves below to see some of my favorites available online!
